Whereas, most Columbia County Boards and Commissions (i.e.) County Commissioners, Health Districts, Port Commission, Judges and School Boards etcetera are non-partisan positions;

Whereas, the Columbia County Democratic Central Committee (CCDCC) should be well informed as to the character of persons seeking such non-partisan positions;

Whereas, the best way for CCDCC members to judge the character of non-partisan candidates and their stands on issues is by direct communication with the CCDCC;

Therefore be it is resolved:

Any candidates who have filed for any office in Columbia County shall upon request be granted access to address the Columbia County Democratic Central Committee for the express purpose of informing the CCDCC of their positions on pertinent issues. Requestors shall include the candidates, their campaign managers and/ or spokespersons regardless of party affiliation, office being sought, race religion, gender, or sexual  orientation.
