Since Ted Olson was not present the discussion on Channel 9 was postponed.

The floor was turned over to Joe Smith, “father of Jefferson Smith”, from the Progressive Network aka The Bus Project.

He gave us a history of the forming of the Progressive network and their selection of the six key democrat talking points: Economy, Environment, Election Reform, Ealth Care, Equal Rights, and Education.   He explained how the Progressive Network is conducting workshops throughout the state to understand the key concerns of its citizens.  The output of these workshops will be consolidated and distributed to all democratic candidates in 2004.  The information will be used as talking points to gain support, get out the vote and win the 2004 elections.

He then split us into two groups, facilitated by himself and Jolene.   Each team voted on their top two issues from the six E’s, and recorded the following questions for one or both of the issues:

Why is this issue important,

What has gone wrong,

What specific actions will each of us to fix it.
