Legislative Update – Josette Hugo
The next Budget Projections for the state are due out around Aug. 26th. It is expected that a special session will be called to make the necessary adjustments.

Convention Report:

This was the best platform convention in recent years, progressive and unified-for the most part. We are, after all, Democrats. The 2010 platform will be available on line. Jolene will send the URL once the platform is posted.

Standing Committees will be assigned at our July meeting. The Chair asks that you fill out the “Committee…Interests” hand-out and return it to the Fair Booth.
