Fund Raising
Ados and Whatever.com will put contributions on line to appropriate site, i.e. E-bay. We discussed doing a p ress release requesting donations . Donna will be our point of contact for them, doing sign up paper work, coordination. Items can be taken directly to their store in St Helens 1815 Columbia Blvd. 503 366-3308
Ice Cream Social; Ben & Jerry at this point we are not pursuing this as it seems too expensive with little potential as a fund raiser
Buttons and Banners Jolene has ordered a variety from evolvefish.com that will be here for the 1st booth in Rainier.
Pat showed us a template of the large signs we will display at the booths. Josette and Pat will continue to work on content.
Adopt-a- Highway
Thanks to our 12 volunteers, Jamie, Tammy, Craig, Chip, Anne, Julane, Karen, Donna, Jolene, Jesse, Rosemary, Roger; we completed our initial clean-up. As soon as the sign goes up we will put out a press release.
County Reports Joe and Rita
The budget is balanced for this year. Although we have a reprieve, it is still questionable what services will be provided in the future without a sustainable increase in revenues.
"Drinking Liberally" Julane
http://drinkingliberally.org/ Twenty-eight people showed up on Wed. June 13 th at the Red Line in St. Helens to meet Steve Novic, the guest speaker. He outlined his positions and interacted with the group. He will be a strong challenge to Sen. Smith. Drinking Liberally will continue to meet the second Wednesday of each month. Next month will be a discussion on immigration.
Summer event planning
Sign-ups are looking good. If you haven't signed up for a shift, get in touch with Jolene.
We need full participation. Please sign-up for at least one event .
Jolene will be sending out reminders.
Next Meeting will be last Tues. in Aug. in Scappoose at a location T/B/A
